I hate cooking. Can't stand it. I find it annoying and takes way too long. My main issue is I love food so much that I don't want to wait for it. If Sainsburys could build their deli counter in my kitchen I would be living the dream. However my hatred for cooking is surpassed by my addiction to cookery shows.
Watching other people cook is a passion of mine. Gordon Ramsey is my food God. I could watch him for hours, and I do; Kitchen Nightmares, Hell's Kitchen, Masterchef US .... I watch them all (I even watched Gordon's Hotel Nightmares because I love him so much).
I enjoy watching the shows that show cooking but the most amazing ones are competition ones. THEY ARE THE BEST. Food Network Challenge is the King of all competitions. Basically 4 different speciality chefs compete to win $10,000 and amazing bragging rights. My favourite ones are the huge cakes or sugar sculptures and I don't know if its the evil twin side of me coming out, but I pray they fall. The tension watching them transfer their creation from the kitchen to the show table has me holding my breath on the edge of my seat. Its more tense than any horror movie could wish for. Watching the cakes that have taken 8 hours to create smash on the floor, it makes me happy. I can't help it.
If I could be anyone from the food world (I would pick Gordon, but he is perfect and I would screw everything up) I would be Adam Richman from Man Vs. Food. He has the best job in the world. He gets paid to travel the world and attempt food challenges HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE. I know envy is a sin, but Jesus forgive me I am jealous.

Funny People
'A situation comedy, often shortened to sitcom, is a genre of comedy that features characters sharing the same common environment, such as a home or workplace, with often humorous dialogue. Such programs originated in radio, but today, sitcoms are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms.'
After reality TV the sitcom is my favourite genre of television. It is 22 minutes of entertainment that doesn't require thinking and you can become a zombie and just watch and get some giggles. Here is a list of my favourite sitcoms
Friends
This is the ultimate sitcom in my eyes. It was perfect. They gave us an amazing 10 years of comedy. The premise of the show was simple - 6 friends. There are heart-warming moments and hysterical moments.
Favourite Character - Phoebe
Will and Grace
I watch this show everyday. I put it on every night to go to sleep to. Not because it is boring but because it is comforting in a weird way. When this TV show was aired it was quite shocking - a show with a lead character who was gay. I don't know if its just me but I didn't notice. It wasn't even an issue for me.
Favourite Character - Karen
Modern Family
This show is relatively new to me. I watched the pilot and it didn't grab my attention so I ignored it for a while (my TV rota is quite full). One day I decided to watch it, and I watched the first 2 seasons with in a week. I LOVE IT. Call me a wuss I don't care; I love a show that makes me cry and this has on multiple occasions. Not because it is sad but it can be so heart-warming at times that it just gets me. For example when Cam and Mitch were told they weren't going to get the baby boy, they were lying on the ground and I was in a flood of tears.
Favourite Character - Cam or Gloria
The Big Bang Theory
This was another show that I didn't catch on to very quickly, but once again I watched a lot in a row and became addicted - went out and bought all the available seasons on DVD. It can be considered quite a simple comedy as the idea is geeks vs. life. I think it is so much deeper than that. My favourite moments are between Sheldon and Penny. It is a friendship that shouldn't exist but I am so thankful that it does. The episode where Penny falls in the shower and only Sheldon is available to help is one my favourite episodes of any show. Later through the series they introduced more female characters and these were genius ideas.
Favourite Character - Amy
Parks and Recreation
Amy Poehler is everything! She was always one of my favourite cast mates on Saturday Night Live. Now she has her own show and it is about time! I feel she was always in Tina Fey's shadow and now she is in the spotlight. To explain the show doesn't sell it at all. It is a sitcom based in a Parks and Recreation department in middle town America. You have to watch it to understand. It is brilliant! So funny! So honest! The characters are amazing whether it be sarcastic, dark April or put-upon, loser Ron.
Favourite Character - Leslie
The Girls
Apparently there is a huge misconception that girls aren't funny - something I have never understood and believed (Golden Girls anybody?) In the last few years the women of comedy have certainly shut up their critics. Step forward Zooey Deschannel, Mindy Kaling, Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings - the stars of 3 of my favourite comedies; New Girl, 2 Broke Girls and The Mindy Project. They are witty, smart and have many levels. And most of all they are awkward - I enjoy awkward TV shows. Long live the female lead comedies.

The Amanda Show
I don't want to kick her while she is down, but I am worried about Amanda Bynes. She is one of the best comedic actresses of recent decades. If you disagree watch She's The Man - she was amazing in it. She had a great run of films from She's The Man to Hairspray to Easy A. And then BANG she announces retirement. This was a shock as it was and then she was quiet for a while. Then another BANG she is all over Twitter and she is unrecognisable. Her face, body and hair seem to have transformed. Her behaviour has become erratic and she is making crazy statements.
She has seemed to of followed the road that the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears have paved, and over passed them whilst flicking the middle finger as she does. Both Lindsay and Britney have gotten help and got healthy.
Amanda shows no sign of accepting help never mind accepting the fact she might need it. She has got arrested, spread stories about her family and called every celebrity in Hollywood 'Ugly'. She has had multiple nose jobs and has pierced her cheeks.
I miss the old Amanda. I was a fan of the old Amanda. Please bring the old Amanda back. Actresses are stealing roles that would have been perfect for her. She has announced a fashion line and I wish her nothing but the best.

Style Stars - The Olsen Twins
I have been a huge fans of The Olsen Twins for a hell of a long time. In good old Blighty we were intoduced to the twins on a show called Two Of A Kind on Nickelodeon (Full House wasn't a big deal here). As a twin I find myself intrigued by them, as well as Tia and Tamera from Sister Sister.
The Olsen Twins have done something that no one expected - they came from child stars to full on fashionistas! They defy the old stereotype of a child star, yes they have had their troubles but they have evolved into business women. With a couple of fashion labels under their belt, they have become award winning fashion designers.
What impresses me the most about them is their fashion style. As a fashion student we are currently designing small ranges and we are constantly asked to pick a muse; I always pick them. They inspire me. They have a mixture of boho chic meets business wear meets androgyny meets high fashion. They take risks as well as having a don't-give-a-shit attitude.
One day I hope to work with them/for them. And if by any chance they ever read this (one can wish) my CV and portfolio are ready!

Baby Kimye
The time has finally arrived! The Kim and Kanye offspring has been born; and I for one am thrilled. Having watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians since day one, I have been a big fan of Kim. And all fans of the show know that all Kim ever wanted was a family of her own. We all remember the attempt at a family that lasted 72 days.
The baby has arrived 5 weeks early so fingers crossed everything is OK. I cannot wait to hear the name of the baby. One hand I want a 'K' name but its not looking likely as Kourtney went against the tradition set by their mother, Kris. I do think that the baby might be named after Kanye's mother. We all know how close they were and how tragic the death of her was.
I am conflicted though. I am jealous of a 3 day old baby! She is born with the ultimate silver spoon in her mouth. She has been born into a dynasty that millions of people follow and love. The only baby that will surpass her is Kate and Will's, and this is because they are actual royalty.
So, congrats to the gorgeous couple. Enjoy this time. And please tell us the name!

It's a Scream baby!
I am a huge horror fan! I mean huge! There is something about a horror film that is not like any other film, you can sit and enjoy any film but with horror its an experience. You are scared, you jump, you cover your eyes, you panic, you get caught up in suspense and then you are witness to a violent crime.
Many of my friends question my love for these films, except one. My favourite franchise is Scream. I really love the characters, the storylines and the twists. Neve Campbell is everything and she is in my heart The Scream Queen - forget Jamie Lee Curtis (sorry). I have seen the films so many times that I can't remember the first times (except Scream 4). I wasn't old enough to see any of the others in the cinema.
Scream is great, the first one set the standards for modern slasher films. Yes it was supposed to be a mockery of the slasher genre, but it was so visionary. It set new rules.
My favourite character - Sidney
My favourite Ghostface - Billy and Stu
My favourite cameo - Drew Barrymore/Sarah Michelle Gellar/Parker Posey
My favourite quote -
Sidney: God why don't stop your whining and get on with it. I've heard all this shit before.
Roman: Stop.
Sidney: Do you know why you kill people Roman? Do you?
Roman: I don't want to hear it.
Sidney: Because you choose to. There is no one else to blame.
Roman: Damnit fucking damnit
Sidney: Why don't you take some fucking responsibility?
Roman: Fuck you.
Sidney: Fuck you.
My favourite relationship - Gale and Dewey
My favourite death scene - Marielle Jaffe/Olivia Morris (they really kicked it up a notch in Scream 4)
Most shocking reveal - Jill Roberts as Ghostface

Welcome to the Bad Girl's Club
This show has to be my one guilty pleasure above all. It hurts to have to call it a guilty pleasure; the only reason I feel like I have to is because when asked to explain what its about I can come across as crazy for loving it.
The premise is simple, put 7 self proclaimed 'Bad Girl's' in a beautiful mansion and press record. As simple an idea it is, its genius. Doctors and psychotherapists should study it like David Attenborough studies the animals. There are alliances formed, territorial disputes, the all important 'Runs the House' crown all the girls covert and fights upon fights. Amongst the fighting there are amazing moments; the girls often show their vulnerable sides and you can relate to them with some of the struggles they have had to face.
The show can be criticized for showing such violence on TV and promoting bad behaviour, but those people need to be quiet. This is reality TV at its purest. There are no challenges, no prize and no social media involvement. Its like Big Brother in a sense except these girls are allowed to leave the house. This is entertainment, it may not be to everyone's taste but I tune in every week.
