The Girls That Rocked My World

Been a teenager in the early 2000's was a great time for one awesome reason, the internet. It opened doors to millions of amazing things around the world that before we had to rely on people telling us about or by flicking through a book. In a few clicks we could stumble across something we never saw before. The internet came to prominence when I was in high school and I will be forever grateful for it. This is the time of our lives when we are first finding ourselves and we have to make major life decisions, all whilst having to raise our hand to use a restroom and finding the hidden meanings in the works of William Shakespeare.

It was a tough time, many of us struggling with puberty and rules we didn't understand. One way we could all escape was with our personal tastes. Up until the internet we were heavily reliant on what was popular at that moment in our own countries, it was hard to find something new because we didn't have access to it. The internet was very helpful with this as we could find things from any corner of the world that we never knew we liked. In a time where many of my friends were turning emo or wearing sports clothes without actually playing sports, I was a bit lost. I didn't fit in to a group. I pretended to enjoy the music of my friends because if I didn't I would have been awkwardly silent for a large part of my teenage years.

Then I stumbled upon new music on the internet and never looked back. I found singers that seemed like they were singing for me, music that made me feel more than just enjoyment and songs that could have been ripped from my head if I had the ability to write music, let alone sing. It is hard to categorise what my taste is as it constantly contradicts itself. If I had to say then my iPod was filled with girls-who-played-guitar-or-piano-with-emotion (there has to be a catchier label for these artists). Below I will talk about 5 of the girls that rocked my world in the early 2000's. I still have all 5 of them on my iPhone with no shame or embarrassment.

Vanessa Carlton
Thanks to 'White Chicks' she will never be forgotten, but as much as I loved 'A Thousand Miles' it was her less pop-y music and her more emotion filled music I enjoyed the most. A particular favourite would be 'White House'. Her impeccable writing skills always got me and her voice was so special. She was last heard of in 2011, and she has a new album coming out this year and I couldn't be more excited.

Stacie Orrico
Where did she go?! I was absolutely in love with her and her edgy 1950's meets chola look. Her voice was unique and her songs where instant head fillers. 'Stuck' was such a massive song with me and my sister, we were enthralled by it and then her next single 'More To Life' became an anthem for me. In fact I think of this song a lot. It speaks to me as it asks questions I constantly ask myself. The world needs a bit more Stacie Orrico. Below is a remix of 'More To Life' - couldn't get a link for original (still amazing).

Michelle Branch
She was my music queen for a few years back in the day. She was the definition of my taste, I had her songs on replay and I had every word and ad-lib down. There was not one song I didn't like and it kills me I haven't seen her play live. She has been quiet for some time now, we did get a snippet of new music with the release of 'Loud Music' but absolutely nada since then. Also a nice little nod to Michelle Branch - the lyrics to 'Goodbye To You' are the only lyrics I would consider getting tattooed on me.

Hilary Duff
If there was something that people would remember me for in High School other than my amazing mop of hair or impeccable set of boy boobs then it was Miss Duff. I did not shut up about her. From Lizzie McGuire to The Lizzie McGuire Movie to her singing career, I was there every step of the way utterly and completely obsessed with her. I do believe I had a hand in her music success here in the UK. Her music was this easy upbeat style that you could have a boogie to or just sit and relax to. I saw her live - not that I am showing off, don't hate.

Avril Lavigne
She was probably the most commercially successful singer on my iPod at the time. Yes I had love for the Britney's and the Christina's but it was Avril that moved me the most. I always liked her fun songs but for me what she does best is the heart tugging ballads. Hands up who cried when the old man says 'I miss you' to his wife's grave in the 'When You're Gone' video. Thats right. We all did. As well as been a torturous scene, it was the song that elevated it. She has a way with words that everyone can relate to. Song's such as 'My Happy Ending', 'I'm With You' and 'Nobodys Home' just really struck a chord with me and will forever go down as some of my favourite songs. She may have gone more pop punk with her music but I will be forever thankful for the songs she has created.

10 Ways To Get Over A Crush

After my time on this planet I have learnt a few things. One of them been how to get over a crush. I find it a very good skill to have as I have fallen victim to the crush monster one or two (hundred) times. Some have been major and life consuming, and some have been a bit meh. A crush is a weird thing, its a pain that you don't mind having so much, you suffer but sometimes it is nice to know that you have this emotion. You have the ability to like someone on such a level that you convince yourself that you are ready for a commitment, and you are ready for someone to know every nook and cranny of you. So after all these times and occasions I have formed a short list of things you can do to get over a crush - lets go.

1. Tell your friends your emotions. Sharing is caring in this case. It may be hard to admit this truth because it can be very revealing of you, but I can guarantee that your friend will make you feel better - because they will no doubt tell you how good you are and awful your crush is. Winner.

2. Cry. Let it out and let it go. Crying is a great thing, its like you get to flush everything out in one big go - a colonic for the soul if you will.

3. Go outside. A distraction can do you the world of good. Go do something different and meet different people, you never know you may meet your next crush - or lover if you're lucky.

4. Look at yourself. You aren't a bad person but you can take this time to re-evaluate yourself. Why didn't your crush like you? Time for a bit of tough love. This could do you a lot of good though, improve yourself on the outside and feel better on the inside.

5. Watch a romantic movie. This could sound like torture, but it doesn't have to be. In a lot of romantic films you see a lot of ups and downs in a person's love life - now place yourself in the movie, you are only half way through you're story. Your happy ending hasn't happened yet, but if Julia Roberts/Sandra Bullock/Jennifer Aniston/Reese Witherspoon/Katherine Heigl have taught me anything, it's coming.

6. Listen to sad music. Personally I find depressing music the best type of music, and in times when having to get over crushes it can become a crutch. It is nice to know that someone has been going through the same thing - and they put it to a nice melody and make it rhyme. Plus getting to mime your pain in a mirror whilst imagining you're Taylor Swift never hurt anyone.

7. Find their flaws. This might sound cruel, but for so long you have been focused on their best features. It can be therapeutic to notice the things about them that ain't so pretty.

8. Out of sight, out of mind. If it is too bad a reminder of what you don't have every time you see them, then get away. Step aside, leave the room, get on a bus. It isn't going to do your confidence any good when you have to remind yourself that you don't have what you want.

9. Be aware of a relapse. Getting over a crush can take a long long time, it is hard work and sometimes you may find that you slip. You catch a glimpse and you just melt, they say hello and you want to grab them or their name pops up on your phone and a smile comes across your face that rivals the cheshire cat. This is okay. We aren't perfect.

10. Admit defeat. Maybe they are with someone else or a thousand miles away, it is time for you to move on, wipe the tear off your face, shake your hair in to messy yet stylish style and walk on with the pride of Beyonce. However don't confuse this defeat with failure. The fact that you aren't with the person you want has nothing to do with your own self worth. Some things are beyond your control.

I hope these 10 steps help someone, a crush can be soul destroying and really knock your self confidence - but they don't have to. Letting go and moving on is a process, it won't happen over night and you will relapse - this isn't failure, this is all part of it. So go on and go forth, don't let your crush end you. There is someone out there that will crush on you.

I Hate Having Morals

I have found myself caught in a bit of a moral conundrum. I won't go into details because I haven't decided what to do yet. I could end up really upsetting someone close to me, a really great friend. On the other hand I could make myself happy. I could get something I want but it could result in losing a friend - and to be honest I am conflicted.

The person I would be upsetting already has a lot anyway, they seem to be happy in their life - and me stepping out of it probably wouldn't affect them that much. This is probably a selfish thought of mine trying to justify an action I could possibly take. See what I mean though? I seriously don't know what to do. I have always had a strong philosophy of making yourself happy before anyone else. This doesn't mean that I ever want to be happy at the expense of someone else's happiness. I don't want to take away happiness.

I would consider myself a good person, this isn't me being big headed. I have a huge conscience, too much for a person I believe. I am the type of person that sprays fly spray at a fly and still secretly hope they get through it and fly away. The thought that I have inflicted pain on anyone kills me. I have huge guilt, even sometimes guilt by association. So to do something bad by choice would probably really upset me. So is it worth it? On the other side of the moral scale I could get something I have wanted for a while, achieve something that people never believe I could. I could experience a different type of happiness that I haven't before.

I am not the one that starts drama. Do I love watching drama unfold? Yes. Do I love hearing about drama? Yes. Do I love being what the drama is about? Not in a million years. I want to be the type of friend that is trustworthy and caring. I want people to come to me with their problems, not be the reason that person has problems.

I think I may have answered my own problem whilst writing this post. Having to think about it and put it into words has probably made me realise what is best. I don't ever want to upset anyone and more than anything I don't want someone to hate me. As much as I want to make myself happy; I couldn't bare been the one that makes someone else unhappy. I guess I'll just wait for my turn.

Morals are a tricky thing, they are like finger prints - we all have different ones. I like to think I stand by mine which is making this choice hard. I want to go against them so bad just to see if something good could come from it. You may be thinking I should talk to the friend about it and see what they say - they might be okay with it. Knowing this person as well as I do I can categorically say they won't be happy about it, it could possibly ruin one of the best friendships I have ever had. I love this person like a sibling. I think I know what I should do. It just sucks. Fucking morals.

Robin Williams - A Quick Thank You

Two days ago we lost a great man. I don't know how official the cause of his death is but as I believe it was suicide. Many people will struggle with the thought of how someone who appears to have everything could do this to themselves. In our society we view money, fame and face value as been the epitome of happiness. However these things are all fake. These aren't things that make us who we are, these are just things we have or can get. Robin Williams is proof of this. A man that has made millions of people laugh struggled everyday with depression, he made billions at the box office, sold out stand up show after stand up show and without a doubt will forever remind people of the happier moments of their childhood.

So the point of this post is to thank him. Whatever struggles he may have had in his life, it never stopped him. Yes, he had to work like the rest of us to make a living, but he could have done anything. He chose to give himself to the public as an entertainer. And what a hell of an entertainer he was. He made us laugh and cry for all the right reasons, when he wasn't playing a character he was still entertaining us with interviews and appearances. He will go down as one of the greats whether we remember him as an alien called Mork or a Father who dresses as a woman to see his kids and called himself Mrs Doubtfire. We all have a place in our heart for one his characters. Mr Williams was harmless, he never offended anyone publicly. He just beamed happiness and love.

It is absolutely heartbreaking that he wasn't actually happy. He struggled with an illness that is so hard to understand unless you are suffering or around someone suffering. One thing that people need to know is that depression is not a flaw in character, it is a flaw in chemistry. I find it so hard to get my head around the fact that his only choice was to end it all. He didn't see any other way to escape it. I got very emotional at the idea that someone, anyone could think this way.

Once again thank you. Thank you Mr Williams. We are forever in your debt for the years of entertainment, the childhood memories and for creating an escape for us all when we don't want be distracted by real life anymore. I only wish that you are finally at peace. Also even in your last act you are helping people. You have made a taboo subject a part of conversation all around the world. Maybe just maybe because of you, people will seek help and support.

I am gutted that we only have four movies left of his to experience for the first time. However we will always have the memories. Thank you Robin, I sincerely hope you are now at peace.

I Love Me

My last post may have sounded a tad self-negative. It's just that insecurities can control me sometimes. However, on the other hand there are things that I am not so negative about, we all have things about ourselves that we are happy with. I know a lot of people that are unhappy with themselves and they will point out all their flaws in front of me and I just want to shake them and tell them to snap out of it. I see perfection in all my family and friends and it annoys the crap out of me when they can't see it.

There is beauty in everyone, it can physical beauty (the lucky bastards) or it can be inner beauty. I know we are all told that it is inner beauty that counts by our mothers but I think that it is true. I may be biased as I am lacking in the outer beauty department - I think God looked the other way when I was created. However some of the most beautiful people to me are the ones that show it in their actions or personality. Anyone who shines from the inside has this aura about them that I respond to, I think I can read a person pretty well and I have surrounded myself by the most beautiful, kind, thoughtful people on this green earth.

It breaks my heart when my friends point out their flaws because if I thought for one second that they hated something about themselves I have a million counter arguments. Some of my friends and family may suffer from issues like depression or anxiety and they may get down on themselves a lot of the time but I want them to know that they are beautiful to me, the way they deal with things when it can be struggle is a pure example of a beautiful person. I love you if you are reading this. I hope one day you can love yourself.

Yes, we all want to be better looking and want the perfect appearance that has been shoved down our throat by society or our own demons but you don't need to. You are you, accept it because if I know you than I know for sure you don't have to change. Don't change for anyone, not even your own insecurities. You have been moulded by your experiences, your choices, your lack of your choices and they equal a complete person. Do not chase people, work hard and be you. The sad fact is that not everyone is going to love you in this world and this is ok, it is more important to love yourself before anyone else.

Colbie Caillet, Beyonce, Meghan Trainor and John Legend have just all released songs about self love that I think all self doubters should hear. I will post them below. Anyone who is down on themselves please take this in - Love yourself, without your flaws you wouldn't be you. And I love you.

I Hate Me

I don't actually hate myself. Disappointed? Yes. Angry? Yes. Annoyed? Yes. Sometimes it can seem like insecurities take over my thoughts the majority of the time. You hear a story about someone's successes, you see someone who is beautiful, you do something wrong - the insecurities just come and slap you in the face. It really hurts your confidence when you constantly never feel good enough.

Lately I have been feeling insecure about a lot of things. At work I don't feel good enough, I try my best and it doesn't feel enough, so I stop trying and then I am even worse at the job. Also when it comes to people, I don't feel good enough. I don't have the looks that I want, I don't have the body that I want and I sure as hell don't have the personality I want. I know you are supposed to be happy with what you have, and if you don't like it then you should change it. It is easier said than done. I guess sometimes even though you hate parts of yourself, you settle and you accept them. We force insecurities on ourselves sometimes.

People that know me may think that I am quite a confident person, but a lot of times I do fake it. Its easy to be the happy, jokey guy than to show how you really feel. I mean sometimes it slips out and I am asked to smile at work a lot. Sometimes you don't want to smile. And this isn't a woe is me kind of post, I am pretty sure we all do it.

An insecurity can raise it's ugly head in many ways. Sometimes it appears and you shut yourself off. You stay quiet and observe the better way people are leading their lives, but sometimes it can make you fake it. Fake it in a good way or a bad way. The good way is when you fake the confidence you don't have, you think to yourself that as long as other people can't tell you insecure than you actually aren't. The bad kind of faking it is when you over compensate. You aren't happy in a situation so you become overly happy, you aren't that successful so you lie. These are traps though and probably make you feel worse at the end of the day when it is just you and your bed for company.

I want to change, almost in every aspect of my life. I am not pleased with the way things are turning out, I have made some major life decisions over the last year and have said no to things that don't make me happy. I know a lot of people (including close friends) think I am stupid for quitting certain things, but that is one thing I am not insecure about - the power of no is a magical thing that we should incorporate in our lives. I am now ready for bigger things to happen, right now I feel like I am at the bottom of the heap. I am 25 and I feel like I have had to start over, that is something I am insecure about because people younger than me are successful.

I hate being insecure, to the point where I am insecure about my insecurities. I don't want people to know I am uncomfortable in certain situations or conversations. I don't lie or overcompensate for anything though, just keep it to myself. This is probably not healthy but its a coping method that I think a lot of us have. I am going to try and not compare myself - easier said than done. You always want more and always feel like you lack in certain areas of life. If I could give any advise it would just do you, be happy with what you got and change what you haven't. Someone out their loves you for you.

People Change: How To Deal With It

The great Leslie Knope once said 'Every time a couple gets married, two single people die', and boy how true this is. When your friends suddenly find someone to have a relationship with everything can change. It can be hard on the friend left behind though, as happy as you are for your friend you can't help but feel replaced. I am a survivor of such a problem so I thought I would impart some knowledge on you folks.

My first piece of advise would be to accept it. The quicker you accept the change the happier you will be. If you used to speak everyday, this will change. If you used to hang out a lot, this will change. It can't be stopped because suddenly your friend has someone else who will take up a lot of their time. They are trying to build a future together and as harsh as it can sound - you are in the way. Before your friend would text you with every musing they have and every issue they have - but now they don't need you anymore.

You may felt you are the one person that knew everything about your friend when they were single, you aren't that person anymore. Let it go. You will always have a bond with your friend if you truly love each other, but now someone has one upped you. They will get to know this person on a whole other level than you never will. This is one of the hardest things to deal with because you will instantly feel like you have been pushed back. Again acceptance is your friend in this situation. It is not the same anymore.

You have to try your best not to be bitter. Yes things have changed, but for your friend that have got a hell of a lot better. Your life hasn't changed for the better, but thats ok. Better to have one miserable person in this world than having two. Relationships take work and time, time they will take away from you. You now have been given the gift of time, not a great thing but maybe you can concentrate on other friends, or maybe even get a hobby.

There is no way around it, it sucks. In life things will change without your consent. It can't always be the same, and you have to acknowledge that so you can give yourself the power to move on with things. That person is still your friend but it isn't the same anymore. I know from experience that as much as they text/call less as time goes by so will you. You don't want to feel like your annoying or getting in the way. You don't want your friend's partner to resent you for taking time away from them - they are more important than you unfortunately.

I think the message of this post is acceptance. Things change. People change. Situations change. You have to roll with the punches - even if the punches hurt.

Why 'The Fault in Our Stars' is important.

Reading a quick description of this book would not give it justice or entice many people to read it. The skeleton of this book is that is a love story, a love story of two teenagers each battling cancer or some variant of the disease. I will give it you, it doesn't sound like a laugh riot of a story; it does have a few laughs in it, the kind of laughs that are heartwarming and helps to push the point that even in our darkest times we can crack a smile. It is a deep, emotional, make-your-eyes-sting-from-crying kind of story. Written by the genius that is John Green, it is a story that touches you and gives you an outlook on life we don't always seek out. The slap in the face realism of teenagers suffering from incurable diseases really makes you think, well it did me. Excuse the lame cliche but life is short. I took a lot away from this book; so below I wrote a few things that I think are important messages from this book.

SPOILER ALERT . SPOILER ALERT . SPOILER ALERT . SPOILER ALERT

Death
John Green isn't afraid to explore the world of death in this story, and why should he be? It is the one certainty of life.  These characters have it forced upon them in the most cruelest way, they have incurable diseases that have a best before date stamped on the side like a bottle of milk. What shocked me the most is the speed in which it happens. Augustus' death was a huge shocker to me, to me he seemed like the healthiest of the bunch, he was getting over his illness and living a normal as normal life he could. Then it took a swift detour of a cliff. He died so suddenly leaving behind a broken hearted Hazel and Isaac. However, because they have had to face the inevitable for so long they take it, they learn from it and they accept it. They aren't by any stretch of the imagination happy about it but they deal and they are grateful for what they get. There is a great quote from the book which had me in tears:

'There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set.I want more numbers than I’m likely to get, and God, I want more for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I’m grateful.' Hazel Grace

Pain
"That's the thing about pain," Augustus said, and then glanced back at me. "It demands to be felt."

I am in love with this quote, it is so real and deep and its something that no one actually wants to accept. However they have had to accept it, it is their truth on a daily basis. And just like death they deal with it. No one should have to live with pain but unfortunately it is a part of life, we have to feel it to know that we feel something. This book explores pain in many different way, it has emotional pain, physical pain and mental pain. The most powerful message I got from the book is that pain is human nature, we have to go through it but it doesn't have to be the be all and end all. There is a time that the pain stops.

Love
I may not be advertising this book very well, especially to people that don't enjoy a depressing read. If you ignore the pain and death there is a timeless love story there. Through unfortunate circumstances these two beautiful people meet. They have an undeniable spark and a banter that just makes them connect. Sadly they do have a strong connection through their similarities.
When you watch them together in the film, or visualise it from the book you don't see the cancer when they are together. I see love, undeniable, gorgeous, youthful love. They each found someone that cares about them that isn't afraid for everyone to know (evident by a kiss in front of a crowd of people at Anne Frank's Museum). They are inspirational because even when we go through our darkest periods in our life there is always that light, that little bit of joy that can make you forget about the darkness.

“But I believe in true love, you know? I don't believe that everybody gets to keep their eyes or not get sick or whatever, but everybody should have true love, and it should last at least as long as your life does.”

These are three topics all explored in this story. It is a real life mixture of things that we all face, some on a daily basis. I love this story because it goes beyond the love story, it is almost like a love life. It showcases the beginning, the struggles, the happiness, the simplicity, the complications and the untimely end.
I could talk about this book for hours, and with certain friends I have. It is something I believe everyone should read. It might not change your life, it might not even move you but it tells you a story. A story that hasn't been told this way before. Written from Hazel's point of view, John Green has an amazing talent to speak for a generation that he is longer part of. It is so authentic.
It is a major tear jerker but it can also make you laugh out loud. It can make your heart ache but also flutter. What I chose to get from this book is that we all have moments of pain, we all have moments where we want to give up; but what you have to hold on to is the true beauty of life. There are people in your life that make your life what it is and you shouldn't deny yourself the pleasure of being with them.
True love isn't something I have ever experienced, but I hold out for it one day. I hold out for my Augustus Waters. Okay?

I want a 'Jim-and-Pam-Relationship'

I was way behind with this show, in fact it finished before I even watched the first episode. I was sceptical, I watched the first episode of the english version of 'The Office'. It didn't get me and I it. Unfortunately a lot of Ricky Gervais' comedy goes right over my head. However my best friend (Netflix) recommended this to me due to my interests in 'Parks and Recreation' (Amy Poehler's amazing show). I thought why not, I don't have a social life to contend with so I have time to watch a 9 series show. After the first episode I was hooked, hello to a new binge. I watched every single episode in an extremely short amount of time, and then for some reason I then watched it backwards.

There are many great things about this show from the extreme characters to the so-real-its-awkward moments. For me the best thing about this show is the Jim and Pam romance. Its starts off with Pam being in a relationship with someone else and Jim been a cool single guy, but there is something there. They have this amazing bond that has grown from the love of pranks, air high fives and stolen glances. They have a great friendship that many would find hard to understand and often be perceived as something more. Then (SPOILER ALERT) in season 3 they actually get together, Pam calls off her wedding and they finally admit their love for each other.

Their relationship is written so perfectly through out the next 6 seasons. They have their ups and downs but throughout it all they have love. I can honestly say I cried at many points watching them. Jim's little glances at the camera when Pam says or does something are beautiful, Pam constantly looking at Jim with nothing but love in her eyes. The wedding was so good, when they are on the boat under Niagara Falls and Pam leans in to Jim, Jim looks at the camera with nothing but love and happiness in his eyes - I bawled. When Pam blames Jim for the breakdown in her parents relationship because of something he said, Pam finds out its because Jim described their relationship so perfectly that Pam's Dad realised he didn't have that with his wife; Pam says the most beautiful line :

Everything they are is for each other, they are best friends as well as lovers. They have everything a relationship should have in my opinion. I want someone who I can tell my darkest thoughts with, who I can trust with all my secrets and weird habits. I don't think that that this a big ask. Jim and Pam did it. I know they are fictional, but I also know some couples will watch them and feel like they have been portrayed on TV. Watching them there is never a thought that one is more lucky to have the other than the other, they are lucky that they found each other. They were friends for four years before anything remotely happened, I may not be totally out of luck yet ...

There are so many highlights to this relationship - the teapot, the DVD, finding out they're expecting, the wedding, the proposal, the first kiss, Jim asking her out for the first date, Pam admitting it was because of Jim she called of her own wedding - just so many I could sit and talk about them for hours. What makes this relationship even better for me is that it wasn't based on physical connection, (sure they are both hot) it was personality. When you meet that one person who you just click with you don't give up, Jim didn't. People say friends shouldn't become lovers. Why not? Yes, you could risk losing a friendship, but you could end up with so much more, you could end up with everything. It only takes one person.

"I didn’t watch the whole documentary. After a few episodes, it was too painful. I kept wanting to scream at Pam. It took me so long to do so many important things. It’s just hard to accept that I spent so many years being less happy than I could have been. Jim was five feet from my desk, and it took me four years to get to him. It’d be great if people saw this documentary and learned from my mistakes. Not that I’m a tragic person. I’m really happy now. But… it would just make my heart soar, if someone out there saw this and she said to herself, "Be strong. Trust yourself, love yourself. Conquer your fears. Just go after what you want. And act fast, because life just isn’t that long." - Pam Beesly Halpert

"Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do, which was just to… wait. Don’t get me wrong, I flirted with her. Pam, I can now admit in front of friends and family, that I do know how to make a photocopy — didn’t need your help that many times. And, uh, do you remember how long it took you to teach me how to drive stick? I’ve been driving stick since high school, so… For a really long time that’s all I had. Little moments with a girl who saw me as a friend. And, a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with, but I think, even then I knew that… I was waiting for my wife." - Jim Halpert

Shhhhh! It's taboo!

I have never been fully able to comprehend the point of a taboo. Why can't we talk about certain things? Speech and language is one of the things that human beings have mastered, our ability to communicate with each other is an amazing and beautiful thing - yet we censor ourselves for risk of offending. I understand certain things shouldn't be said - Momma always taught me that if I have nothing nice to say then shut the hell up. Insulting things aren't taboo, they shouldn't be said for the pure fact its not nice to hurt someone. Words cause scars that can't be seen. Anyway, getting away from the point. I have of course wrote a shortish list about certain taboos that I just don't understand.

Swearing
Personally I swear like a fucking sailor (I don't have proof they swear anymore than the average man though). I like swearing. They are words that just roll off the tongue with such a punch. My favourite swearword is probably 'fuck'. Just the action you create with your mouth releases such a pop, the word has power. Also I think it is the only word in the english dictionary that you can put anywhere in a sentence and it makes sense. What I don't understand is that we have literally created words that we can't say. Who decided certain words were swear/curse words? I honestly think that if these words became normal in conversation that they would lose all their power, and they wouldn't become a big deal. Although hearing a child swear will always be funny.

Pooping
We all do it, literally every living thing on this planet has to expel waste at some point. Yet, we can't talk about it. Its apparently disgusting. If anyone has an issue with any other bodily function you can talk about it with someone, tell someone you have had a particular difficult shit and suddenly alarm bells ring and you're been inappropriate. I am been slightly hypocritical, I never talk about my toilet habits. Its a shame, I think I have been conditioned by society not to acknowledge it. Another damn shame is when you walk into a public bathroom, the cubicles are locked and there is dead silence. There is a man waiting for you to leave or turn on the hand-dryer so he can drop his load. Personally I don't mind if someone wants to fart, especially in a toilet - they are funny! We need to get over this. Having to drop the kids off at the pool is as normal as breathing.

Sex
Conversations regarding sex are kept mainly amongst close friends. We all share secrets and tales to only the people that we can trust. Like its a shameful thing. I'm sorry but how do you think you got here? Sex is the most primal normal thing we do. It is a shame that in 2014 we still have to talk about sex in hushed tones. What is even more shameful is that the legal age for sex on the UK is 16, but hold your horses Mary - you can't watch someone have sex until you are 18. Everyone has seen porn, yet we all pretend we haven't. It is really not a big deal - at all! Aslong as all contributors are doing it at free will, then why not watch it. If you enjoy it don't be ashamed - even call it art if it makes it more comfortable for you.

Love
This may confuse you but stay with me. Yes we all express love in many different ways. 'I love cheese', 'I loved that film' and 'I love my mum' are things that slip off the tongue with ease. Love is accepted in the majority. Unfortunately not in all cases. As a male trying to become a man I have noticed the word 'love' isn't used as often as it should be. To say you love your best male friend is considered gay. It really doesn't mean that. You can have love for someone without wanting to marry them and share a life together. Love is an emotion and emotions are often uncontrollable, this does not mean you have to keep them to yourselves. I love all my friends I really do, they are an extension of my family. Its a shame that manly men can't feel the freedom to express their love for their amigos.

I am not saying that we should just start blurting out whatever we want now and try and diminish taboos. I just think that if more people feel more freedom to talk about whatever they want then the power will be taken away from the taboo. It won't be too shocking.

This post kind of reminds me of a post I previously did about mental illness, depression in particular. Mental illness is a huge taboo subject. This lies in the fact that people don't understand, because no one is talking about it. We could help so many people if we just talk. If anyone ever wants to share anything with me than I have 2 ears to listen with and 2 shoulders to cry on. Nothing is taboo with me (except maybe pooping, but I will get their one day).

Craig 'The Green Eyed Monster' Chambers

It's not the most attractive trait for a human to have, but I have it. I believe that 100% of the human race suffers from it. No one can be that secure that they don't suffer from it. I am of course talking about jealousy. We all want what someone else has for the pure reason that we don't have it. There are many different types of jealousy; and I feel like I suffer from them all.

It can be small things that I get jealous of, for instance if I am in a restaurant and I see someone chose a better meal than me and I am left stuck with the same meal I have every time. These are little annoyances that I face everyday of my life. I always seem to make the wrong choice. For example if there are two buses going to the same place, I always and I mean always pick the one that leaves the station second - not because I knew the times, but because fate seems to love to hate me.

I also suffer from major life jealousies. I get 'friend envy' a hell of a lot. This can raise its ugly head in different ways. I get jealous when a friend makes a new friend that I don't know, I get jealous when I see my friends make plans for them (the worst is when you are standing right there and they make plans that don't include you). I think this comes from never been anyone's first choice. Everyone has that one friend that is a bit closer than other friends or they have a boyfriend/girlfriend. I always seem to take a back seat when it comes to that. I am the friend you call when others have cancelled.

Another jealousy I suffer from (hold on readers, there are a few) is when your crush starts dating someone or gets in a relationship. I have talked about crushes before (link) and it can be any of those. Any crush you have, when they suddenly become happy with someone else it can be soul destroying. This can make you hideously insecure and very unhappy. This is one of those jealousies you can't even do anything about, except just be happy for them. They should be happy. I haven't quite been able to achieve happiness for a crush but I am sure one day I will. Fingers crossed for me.

One major jealousy I have is of rich people. They can buy anything and everything I want. I buy a meal deal from Boots for my lunch, they go to a restaurant. I get the bus, they get their driver to take them places. I sleep in a room the size of a shoebox, their closets are bigger than my house. I always want more than what I have and it sucks, I don't know how to achieve these things, or I just don't want to do the things it takes to get them.

The moral of the story is that we all get jealous. Its a sucky human attribute. It can be an all consuming and there isn't anything you can do about it. You have to be happy with what you have, but whats wrong with wanting what someone else has?

'And I know that I'm being hateful but that ain't nothing. That ain't nothing. I'm just jealous. I'm just human. Don't judge me.' Beyonce - Jealous (even Queen Bey gets jealous).

Expectations vs. Reality

I have been on this earth now for 25 years, 6 months and 10 days. I feel that this is quite a long time, I mean for me it took an eternity to get here. I pride myself on the fact that I walk around with my eyes wide open at all time. I feel like I see a lot of things that some people don't. This isn't me being big headed, its just the way I feel I am wired. I would love to be able to ignore some things and act like some things don't bother me. I am an observer, I watch and I listen; and I have developed an understanding of reality vs. expectations. Things aren't always what they should be, people strive for the expectation and ignore the reality. In a world full of images being thrust upon us at all time it is hard to accept certain things.

We have movies, TV shows and the internet showing us an idealistic way life should be. We watch a happy movie and we want life to be like that, we watch a sad movie and don't register that that is probably a lot more realistic. We all have pain, we all have to make an effort just to get through life with a smile on our face. Everything is an effort. Everything takes work. This post is purely my opinion, you may not agree with it and you may think that I am being a huge downer about everything.

Love/Relationships
Expectations
You meet the love of your life pretty early on. It blossoms into something beautiful and suddenly everything falls in to place. You get the house, the dog and the children. Every day is filled with kisses on the cheeks and 'Honey, how was your day?'.
Reality
Just meeting someone is a challenge. There is millions upon millions of single people in this world yet it seems to be impossible to make a match. When you do think you find a match the work starts. You have to impress them, whilst still being yourself, whilst trying to decide if you actually like them. It can blossom into something beautiful and life changing, but it won't happen overnight.

Work
Expectations
You go to high school to get into college, you go to college to get into university and then you leave university to enter the working life. You start your new job after all your qualifications are exactly what they want. Everyday fuels your passion, you work up in the company and you retire into a beautiful life by the sea.
Reality
Education doesn't count for a lot. You have finished university in a shit load of debt and you are willing to take any kind of job that has the smallest to do with the field you are more than trained to work in. You go for the big jobs but they want 'experience'. You don't have experience because for the last 15-20 years you have been in education. You will one day have the job you want, but it takes a hell of a lot of work and takes even more character.

Friends
Expectations
You have a great group of friends that meet up all the time to discuss life. You may have a place you will all go to (e.g a coffee shop). Every celebration in your life they will be there, they will become aunties and uncles to your offspring and there is always someone to call to pick you up if you're down.
Reality
You have as many close friends as you do fingers on your right hand. These people are your substitute family. You may not even see them for months at a time, but it doesn't matter. They are there when you need them and you are there for them in any capacity they require you in. You will have groups of friends from all your walks in life (work friends, uni friends, book club friends) but you will always have your core group of friends.

Just imagine you life expectations as a photoshopped version of reality. The truth is under there but you have glamourised it so much it may seem unachievable. Don't set the bar too high. Achieve what you want to achieve and be happy. if you are always striving for the best then you won't notice what you do have.

I really feel after writing this that I should say that I am a generally happy person, but like everyone there is another side to me. I just wanted to write this for me really. For years I have worked towards my expectations and not accepted my reality. This is just me sharing a little bit more.

They call it a 'Crush' for a reason

Crushes can be crushing, I guess thats where the name comes from. They can consume every thought and every action you do. Some crushes can almost feel like love - and those are the ones that suck the big one. Some crushes can be harmless and can just be attraction. I have, for many years, been a victim of the crush. I have quite an active imagination, so when the crush starts - so do the plans. I don't mean the plans to trap them in my grip, I mean the plans where you start to imagine doing stuff together.

I have found that there are many types of crushes:

The Celebrity Crush
These are quite harmless (unless you have stalker qualities). You see a famous person who you find attractive, and then you find out more and more about them and you start to like them more and more. You become a fan of everything they do and you will defend them in anything they do. They can't do anything wrong, and if they do it isn't their fault.

The Lust Crush
This can sometimes be someone you know or someone you see quite often. Just seeing them makes you smile and distracts you for a moment. They don't develop any further than looking, no one ever has to know, its your own little secret.

The Sex Crush
This is quite an explicit fantasy crush. You love everything about their appearance and you just dream about one day getting the chance to be with them. They have all the attributes that you find sexually attractive. You do run the risk of not being able to find anyone else as attractive because they don't compare. Also if you finally get the chance to be with them you find out that there is nothing in common; still it could be a good time.

The Friend Crush
These can be fun and no one has to get hurt. They are weird relationships that develop from having a lot in common with someone. You want to talk to them and hang out with them all the time. The crush element comes from the fact that they can consume your thoughts - you want to share everything with them, but you probably not sexually attracted to them. An example of this might be called a 'bromance'.

The Love Crush
This is probably the most damaging type to a person. This is a crush that often sounds belittled when someone calls it 'just a crush' to your face. You believe it is so much more than what it is. You think about them all the time, you think about what you can say to them all the time and everything you do do you want to tell them and share. You imagine a future that may never happen. You might become friends with this person as this is all you feel you will ever achieve - so its best to have them in your life in a small capacity, then to not have them at all.

A warning from a survivor of 'The Love Crush' is that as harsh as it sounds - get over it. You are too into to it that it may even put your crush off you as a person. Be happy for what you can get, distract yourself  by looking elsewhere. It will feel like no one else will ever compare, but I am holding on to the fact that one day there will be someone out there that has the equivalent crush on me as I do them.

The most damaging aspect of a crush is to your self esteem. You will start to question everything about yourself. Am I not attractive enough for them? Am I too fat for them? What are they looking for that I don't have? It can bring you down a lot of the time. Crushes can suck and can hurt. It is a weird emotion, you don't know what to do about it. You can create a brave moment and actually tell the person, and if this person is as great as you think they are it won't be that bad. They will still be your friend, but you will be aware of boundaries.

Just remember the bigger you love, the harder you can fall. A crush may seem to be an uncontrollable emotion but it doesn't have to be. Distract. Distract. Distract. I accepted my crush won't flower into anything, as much as it sucked. Yes, I still think about it but acceptance is your best friend in these moments.

I'm With The Band

I am going to lose some major man points (not that I had a whole lot to begin with) but I feel like it is time to make this statement. I love Girl Bands. I own a bunch of their albums, I watch all of their music videos and I pretty much know most the words to all the songs (including some of the dance moves, something I am not 100% proud of).

I am not sure if it is a feminist portion of my brain that loves them so much, but I support them so much. I want to see a girl group do well. When they get a number 1 I do feel proud. For example when The Saturdays got their first number 1 I told people as if it was my own personal news, I wanted/needed people to know. When a girl group enters a talent competition I instantly want them to win (can you imagine my happiness when Little Mix won 'The X Factor'!) Some of my favourite concerts I have ever been to were girl bands (Spice Girls and Destiny's Child in particular).

I often feel alone in my love for girl bands. They aren't a popular thing to admit you like. I will get the occasional 'oh yeah, I liked that one song' but never 'I love their album!'. Girl bands come and go so quickly because it so hard for them to get a fanbase. Younger girls who these bands are marketed for only want to fully support the new hit boy band and then younger boys will never admit to liking them for fear of ridicule. Older folk won't even give them the time of day, instead casting them off as girls being used for their appearance and having no talent.

So as a favour from me to you I thought I would create a little playlist of girl band songs for you to fall in love with and join my crusade to get them the respect they deserve. So here goes -

Spice Girls - Let Love Lead The Way
Destiny's Child - Through With Love
Sugababes - Ugly
Little Mix - Cannonball
Girls Aloud - Sexy! No No No ...
2NE1 - Lonely
Stooshe - Black Heart
The Saturdays - Fall
Atomic Kitten - Someone Like Me
En Vogue - Free Your Mind
All Saints - Pure Shores
TLC - Dear Lie
The Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part
B*Witched - Blame It On The Weatherman
Honeyz - Won't Take It Lying Down
Eternal - I Wanna Be The Only One
Cleopatra - Touch Of Love

YouTube them, Spotify them and bask in the girl group goodness. These are probably the more slower songs by these bands but they are some of my favourites.

Queen Victoria

Victoria Beckham was my first major crush. I fell in love with the Spice Girls just like any other normal 90's kid. They dominated everything. I couldn't even go in to a supermarket without seeing them everywhere - chocolate bars, Pepsi, lollipops, crisps, deodorant - you name it they were on it. So naturally I chose my favourite, Posh Spice was my favourite. There was something about her pout, her mini black dress and her razor sharp bob that just spoke to me. The crush began. It was hard to ignore because the Spice Girls were shoved down your throat, I didn't mind one bit. The songs, the albums and then the movie - I lapped it up.

Then one of the saddest days of this young boys life occurred - the Spice Girls broke up and went their separate ways. Luckily Victoria was a huge celebrity so she never actually went away. She married David and released some solo material. I personally loved her stuff but Britain did not (it still cuts me deep that she is the only Spice Girl not to have a solo number one). So then she went off and did what she did best - Fashion. Starting out with a denim line and sunglasses before moving on to her own brand. The fashion world has embraced her as she has become a British designer celebrated world wide. Her aesthetic is very much about the woman's shape. Simple designs that highlight curves in all the right places - if I was a woman I would definitely covert all of her handbags.

My love for Victoria shows no sign of dying down. Everything she does she does with elegance and style. She has an amazing sense of humour - if you don't believe me than just watch her one off special 'Victoria Beckham: Coming to America' - she is hilarious. No she may not smile all the time, but she herself has said that she doesn't like her smile. If you don't like something about yourself wouldn't you make sure people don't get pictures of it? She is human after all. She is a mother of four and she looks like an amazing one at that - just this week she was photographed competing in her kids sports day. In my eyes she can do no wrong and also she never has so the haters should back off.  I hope one day to meet her, but I don't she would be too happy meeting a sweating, drooling hot mess.

Third Wheeling It

I have been on this Earth for 24 year and I have roughly been a 3rd Wheel for 24 years. For aslong as I can remember my closest friends have been in relationships. I have not. It's okay though, I don't think I am suitable for a relationship - too busy perfecting my 3rd Wheel status.

Some times been a 3rd wheel can suck the big one. Many occasions I will be invited somewhere with someone and they neglect to tell me their 'other half' will be there. Lucky for me I get on with a lot of my friends partners, sometimes not though - my personality is a bit Marmite. These partners will become good friends after a while, but I know it weirds them out how close I am with some of my friends. For example on one New Year's Eve I kissed my friend at midnight - I could sense the jealousy of her partner and he grabbed me and kissed me as well. It was awkward.

Being a 3rd wheel is not so bad, being a 5th, 7th or 9th is when it gets uncomfortable. All the couple sit together, twiddle fingers and whisper sweet nothings; I feel that I have to be the entertainer of the group. They don't ask me to, but to get noticed I have to be funny and act as though I don't care. It's not even as if I want a boy/girlfriend, I just want my 'person', someone I can call my +1 when invited to some event and someone I can call and hang out with at any time - we don't need to bump uglies. The last wedding I went to my +1 was my best friend - her fiancé stayed home.

This didn't mean to be a moany post, because I don't need to moan. I have an awesome group of friends and they are all happy in their relationships - kudos to them. Being a 3rd wheel is only awful if you let it be. Many a time I will be with someone and they will be moaning about their 'other half' and that they just want a night out without them - not a problem for me. I don't have to babysit anyone, if a friend starts to vom I just pass them to their carer (other half) and off I go for some more slut-drops and vodka cokes.

Crazy Crushes - Male Edition

Well earlier on I did my crazy crush's on the ladies, but I am an equal opportunities kind of guy so I thought I would talk about some of the Men that are not in my life. Looking at the image above it may appear I have a type - this isn't a brunette appreciation post, hair pigment is not important to me. So lets analyse it a tad more and I will tell you why these pretty boys made my list.

Russell Brand
Might as well start with the crazy one. I think he is hilarious and I do enjoy a little bit of controversy. However the main reason is that he is extremely intelligent and I like people I can learn from. I am the kind of learner that gets more from someone who is passionate about a topic.

Logan Lerman
He is adorable. He has a smart head on his shoulders. His character in Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of my favourite literary character of all time. Also he has the awkward personality that gets me. And he is going places, he will be huge and I would like to be there from the beginning.

Zac Efron
I don't think there is any person that wouldn't. He can sing, he can dance and he can act - and God knows he looks good doing it. He is a bit too pretty so I'm not sure for my own confidence that I could stand too close to him at social events.

Michael Buble
This is where you will see my middle aged woman personality come out - I love him, and I hate his pregnant wife. I jest, its not hate - its pure jealousy. I enjoy his music, unfortunately I don't own any of it - but what I like the most about him is his personality. I could watch Graham Norton interview him for 45 hours straight and I would be content.

Francisco Lachowski
A very fine looking Brazilian Male Model. Enough said really. Just look at him. I feel like I would faint if he even walked in my direction - wouldn't be cute. David Gandy needs to watch out - there is another cute boy on the block.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt
I love his character in 500 Days of Summer, Mysterious Skin and very much looking forward to his porn addict character in Don Jon. He is very pretty, has a great sense of style and he seems like a gentleman in real life. Plus he has his own production company. Equals up to a great guy in my book.

Shia LaBeouf
I am not sure how to say his name (La Boof?) Its not important though. I knew of him since Even Stevens on Disney but it was Transformers and Disturbia where he got my attention. A very good looking guy with great acting skills - how I even noticed the robots when Shia was on screen with Megan Fox I don't know. He has gone a bit different over the last few years, but his directing skills are great for those music videos he did. Excited for whatever he is doing next - and I wouldn't mind being along for the ride.

Harry Styles
As well as being a middle aged woman, there is a teenage age girl inside of me that gets excited whenever Harry is around. He is a beautiful boy there is no denying and I am a sucker for tattoos. I may have to have it out with him what happened with Taylor Swift, but I'm sure we would get past it and have a beautiful time together.

Johnny Depp
Who doesn't love Johnny? If you claim not to you're only lying to yourself - no one is impressed. He has proved time and time again his acting is top notch. Sometimes a bit freaky, but I know we all gave him a second glance when Jack Sparrow came on the screen - I wanted his hair. He seems like a shy awkward guy in real life - I ain't mad about that, he is too pretty for it to be an issue. We could sit in silence.

P.S David Beckham would have been included in this list, but as I want his wife I decided to let him go. I don't want to steal his wife and break his heart when he realises it was to me. I'm not an animal.

It's a love story, baby just say yes

Love stories are beautiful. I like watching the build up and the fall out. I like every aspect of a love story. For me the best love stories have a lot of heartbreak. I get heavily invested in them and my heart goes out to the characters. So I decided to write about some of my favourite ones.

Romeo and Juliet
How could a list of love stories not include these two star crossed lovers? It is the ultimate story of tragic heartbreak. There have been a lot of interpretations of this story but my favourite will always be Leonardo Dicaprio and Clare Danes. The modern re-working was beautiful and my god that scene with the young boy singing in the choir - chills. I can't help but feel these two lovers were a tad dramatic, suicide wasn't the answer.

Bella and Edward
Most people look at this love story and scoff. I think it is beautiful. A vampire and a normal girl fall in love, it shouldn't be and it doesn't make sense. However I think it was told well and acted amazingly by Kristen and Rob. Through everything all they did was love each other and try their darnedest to work it out.

Carrie and Big
The middle aged woman inside of me always knew that these would get together in the end. They tried and tried, Big even got married to someone else - but in the end they only had eyes for eachother. My heart, like a million women's I am sure skipped a beat when Big ran to Paris to get his girl from that 70 year old ballerina. A couple who were meant to be.

Tom and Summer
500 days of Summer is one of my favourite films of all time. It is a wonderful tale of an entire relationship in 500 days (get the title now?) Zooey and Gordon are some of my favourite actors. The beauty of this film is that it instantly tells you it is not a love story but it is a story about love. I 100% get that. You want a film with a happy ending for the couple then don't watch this film. This film is realistic to the point of where it makes you feel awkward with how close to real life relationships it is.

Charlie and Sam
Perks Of Being a Wallflower is one of my favourite books and then turned into one of my favourite films. Charlie obviously had a huge crush on Sam. As both a reader and a viewer it was clear to see that these were not going to be a couple - not matter how much I wished they could work it out. They love each other and that is plain to see. Should it have developed past a friendship? I don't know, but I am happy they have each other in their lives (see what I mean when I say I get too invested).

Other notable love stories have to include Carl and Ellie (Up), Hermione and Ron (Harry Potter), Jack and Rose (Titanic) and Buffy and Angel (Buffy The Vampire Slayer).

“Hope will never be silent.” Harvey Milk

I am sick to death about hearing about Gay Rights. It is in the news constantly, mentioned in politics all the time and always a discussion that gets people riled up. It shouldn't be this way. A gay person is no different from any Tom, Dick or Harry on the street. A gay person isn't a different race of people that should be torn apart and studied. Its as simple as anything - a gay person is a person.

Who cares who they love? Who cares who they want to spend the rest of their life with? Who cares that children will be exposed to 'gay love'? There is nothing wrong with it. Simply put, it is a person who is in love with another person. Genitals are not an important part of a relationship.

To anyone that is against gay marriage I want you to ask yourself how it will directly affect you? How will it stop you from you living your life? It won't! Yet you are willing to let your opinion become law? You would rather see gay people be alone than happily married? No one is born homophobic, millions of people are born gay - so who should we listen to?

I can understand some people that think being gay is against your religion. That is your faith - do what you do. Gay people don't care about a religion that doesn't care about them - so we wont bombard your church/place of worship with the most fabulous placards about gay rights, so don't bombard our rallies and marches with your opinions.

To any thick narrow minded person that ever said gay is a choice you are an idiot. Would you choose to be a person who is discriminated against on a regular basis? In the media? On the street? Neither would we. A crazy number of people have killed themselves because they are gay. If its a choice then surely they would have just chosen to be straight.

Gay people should be able to adopt aswell. A lot of straight people don't want their babies or for some circumstances aren't able to look after them. Should these babies be put into the system or should they go to a family that wants them - even if its two mums or two dads? Better to have two of one then neither of each.

I can't wait until we look back in horror at these times when we discriminated against people for their sexual orientation. People think we may want to be different - truth is we want to be the same.

So one last thing to say to people against gay people - if you hate us so much then stop giving birth to gay babies!

Who am I talking to?

Catfish is back for a second season and I am elated. I love this show, it is one of the best reality shows of all time. The basic premise is that these people have been talking online or over the phone for months/years and have yet to meet. One of the talkers has had enough so they thought the best idea would be to contact MTV and have a camera follow them to meet the person.

However, the person they have been talking to is not always the person they thought they were - this is when it gets juicy. There are multiple reason for why these people refuse to meet. Some are quite emotional, for example one man believed he was too fat to be seen by the girl that he had been talking to, other reasons are just pure nasty, for example (and my favourite episode) one girl just wanted to get back at another girl because she was her boyfriends ex! She created another person with the intent to eventually hurt her - and she showed no remorse!

I myself have been a 'victim' of 'Catfishing' except I had the opposite way round. I was talking to someone over text and they then decided to create another profile and talk to me through that (this person obviously had nothing better to do), he then used my other conversation against me and lets just say it got nasty and petty. I wish him nothing but the best with life.

I am so happy there is a second season, even more happier then when I found out the first season was been created after the movie. Long live the Catfish!
